Characteristics of American CherryThe sapwood is a very pale shade of yellow, while the heartwood is brown with a slightly green tinge. Its color becomes darker with exposure to light and shows gold and reddish highlights. The wood is moderately dense, with a close grain and a fine, even texture. |
