Wood Species
Wood is a renewable resource. When you choose to build with wood, you are choosing a quality material that is both renewable and biodegradable. A great way of protecting our environment is to buy products made or derived from wood. Other products, made from materials like plastic or aluminum, use natural resources whose reserves are low and that can never be replaced. Wood is the only renewable construction material.

Sustainable Development
When forests become old or overcrowded, trees stop growing and begin to decay. They release carbon that contributes to the greenhouse effect. Therefore, responsible harvesting of our forests locks in the carbon and ensures a continual supply of growing, oxygen producing trees. |
