Additionally, each board is coated with a protective finish: either DuraMatt®, an ultra-matte finish that acts like a second skin for your floor, offering the look of a pre-oiled floor without the hassle of regular application, or DurAliveTM, a translucent finish, resistant and silky to the touch, which allows the vivid colors of the wood to shine through. Hypoallergenic and highly resistant to stains, scratches, and abrasion, these finishes are backed by a 35-year warranty on finish wear-through for residential applications.
Because of its intricate layout, herringbone flooring is trickier to install and must be glued down. However, when done right, the tightly set boards provide further stability to an already solidconstruction. It is therefore strongly recommended to enlist the services of qualified professionals and experienced installers.

UNIQUE CHARACTER OR AN EXCLUSIVE REFINED LOOK
Achieve your perfect style for any space by choosing between the two distinct wood grades offered. These grades classify wood boards according to their natural colour variations and the presence of knots, mineral streaks, and character marks. This is purely about the wood's visual appeal, not its quality.
Embrace the authentic appearance of natural wood with the Character grade. This grade presents wood as Mother Earth intended, featuring a vivacious look with a wide range of visual characteristics, such as pronounced colour variations, open and closed knots, mineral streaks, surface holes, and other character marks. Some distinctive marks may become prominent over time due to changes in the environment.
On the other hand, the Exclusive grade offers a more refined and uniform appearance, with fewer colour variations, and small knots that have been repaired. Mineral streaks might also be visible, but they are limited in width and in number. Often chosen for spaces where a more formal or contemporary aesthetic is desired, the Exclusive grade may be seen as a premium option for those who want a pristine and sophisticated look for their flooring.
